Membership

Residents and Non-Residents

If you wish to obtain a membership, you must apply in person at the Hastings Highlands Public Library. Valid identification (example: Driver's License) with your current residential address and/or proof of land ownership is required.  Please see below for more specific information on becoming a member.

Residents of Hastings Highlands

Any resident or ratepayer of Hastings Highlands is entitled to a FREE membership at Hastings Highlands Public Library.  Proof of residency or ownership of property must be presented at the time of application. 

Non-Residents

If you are a Non-Resident applicant (i.e. not from any of the above townships) you may still apply to be a member of the library for a fee of $25.00 per household per annum. Valid identification with a current address is required. 

BORROWING

Library Members are permitted to take 6 books and 2 DVD’s on one card. 

Reserves

Materials may be reserved at the Hastings Highlands Public Library or by e-mail at info@hastingshighlandspubliclibrary.ca. Reserve requests should have patron name and contact number. The title of the book and the author should also be included.  You will be contacted by library staff as soon as the material is available for lending.

Return/Renewal

Materials at Hastings Highlands Public Library have varying due dates. Except for brand new books which have a 7 day loan period, books are loaned for 3 weeks, movies for 1 week. 
If you wish to extend the loan period (renew) for books, ask at the desk or e-mail the library at info@hastingshighlandspubliclibrary.ca giving your name and library card number.
